SERGIO LEIVA

Young Chilean pianist, conductor and arranger SERGIO LEIVA holds performance certificates in both Piano and in Conducting from La Sierra University. He also has a BA in Piano Performance from the Austral University of Chile.
In Chile he worked as Piano Instructor at the Adventist University of Chile, as Staff Accompanist for Chamber Music at the University of Chile, as the Assistant Choral Conductor for the Adventist Academy of Chile, and as Piano Instructor at the Austral University of Chile.
He was the First place winner in levels 1 and 2 of the Claudio Arrau International Piano Competition (1998, 2000). Sergio has also been the Music Producer for all music groups at the Adventist University of Chile (CDs/DVDs) and for the Concepción Academy Chorale and Chamber Singers (CDs/DVDs). In Chile he has appeared on Channel 13 Catholic University of Chile, TVN, Chilevision. In America, on Hope TV, 3 ABN, 3 ABN Latino and Esperanza TV. He has performed as pianist and conductor in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Puerto Rico, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta (59th GC Session of SDA’s summer of 2010). Sergio has performed with (among other artists) Heritage Singers, Signature Sound, Sandy Patti, Jason Crabb, Denar Almonte, Rudy Micelli, Kirk Franklin and Marcos Vidal.
He had Directed the Choir ensamble several times for Steve Green Concerts in Florida and California.
In the most recent years Sergio has worked with other known well artists such as Dr. Leslie Leighton being her assistant conductor at La Sierra University Chamber Singers. And also assistant conductor in one performance with Gustavo Dudamel.
Sergio holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and instruction with emphasis in music Therapy and Music Education.
He also Holds a MA in conducting.
Currently Mr. Leiva per suits His DMA studies at Claremont University
Currently, Mr. Leiva is working in the present time as Music Director at Quiet Hour Ministries, Worship and Music Director at La Sierra Spanish.Church. Also as Music director for LLBN in Loma Linda, as well as in Grace spark and Grace force.
He was for many years the staff Accompanist for La Sierra University Music Department and also was the Director of United Vocal Ensemble which for many years this group was traveling along United States and around the world. Sergio works too as an Assistant Conductor and Principle Tenor Soloist at Claremont United Church of Christ. Also he’s a backup rehaersal pianist for Chamber Singers and Chorale in UCLA. He is currently a music director for Quiet Hour, Graceforce and Gracespark ministries. Sergio also is touring around the world as a collaborate pianist with famous artist and singers.
