YUNA NAM – 2nd Prize – Novice Strings 2025

Yuna Nam, 12 is a student of Ms Joan Kwuon at the Colburn School. Yuna has earned numerous honors at regional and state competitions. Last season, she had the privilege of performing the first movement of the  Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the Bellflower Symphony, Semprik Orchestra and Amici Chamber Ensemble. She also participated in masterclass with Mr. Glen Dicterow and Maestro Mark Latham. 

Yuna is a proud member of the Claremont Young Musician Orchestra (CYMO) serving as concertmaster for the intermezzo CYMO last season.  She currently performs with the CYMO high school group and looks forward to sharing great music with her peers this year. Yuna finds great joy in serving her church through music and is active in her church music program. 

Yuna wishes to express her deepest gratitude to her teacher Ms Joan Kwuon for her unwavering support, guidance and inspiration. With her mentorship, she continues to grow, striving for excellence and sharing her love of music to everyone around.
